  Chase grabbed my hand and said, “Roxi I love you with my whole heart. I want to give you my promise that I will wait for you and one day make you my wife.”

  Then he opened the jewelry box and slipped a gold and diamond ring on my finger, saying, “This is my promise to you.”

  I was completely at a loss for words. I had tears of joy streaming down my face and I grabbed Chase and crawled up on his lap as I kissed him and hugged him. I realized he was just as crazy for me as I was for him. I don’t even know what else to do than to smile and tell him how much I love him and how excited I was to know how much he loved me. We cuddled into each other and I admired my new ring.

  Then I heard Chase’s stomach growling and I said, “I better cook my future husband some dinner and then I will really thank him with dessert… on me…” Chase smiled and shook his head, and I walked into the kitchen.

  I cooked macaroni and cheese and grilled chicken sandwiches. I grabbed the chocolate syrup and tucked it in between the pillows in our room for dessert later. I took our plates into the living room to sit together on the blanket Chase had laid out with the rose petals surrounding it. I believed we looked like we were on a movie set, it was all just so perfect. We ate and talked and then I took him to the bedroom for dessert.

  Chase inquired, “Naughty chef, what’s for dessert?”

  I smiled and showed him the chocolate syrup. Words can’t even describe the look of pure joy across Chase’s face as I dribbled the syrup over his chest and below the belly button.

  After I was done giving Chase his licking, he grabbed the syrup and returned the favor and dribbled it all over my chest and belly. He took his sweet time licking it off me. I was so turned on by his every touch. He fingered me while he licked chocolate off my breast and he could tell how close to exploding I was at that moment. He hurried up and grabbed a condom and we became one flesh as we were all tangled together as we both found our release. I tried to catch my breath but I was so happy at that moment that I couldn’t even hardly move a finger.

  We laid together, admiring my new ring and he sat up and tugged my hands to go take a bubble bath together. Then we went to bed naked.

  I couldn’t believe how perfect my life was…. I thought to myself, 53 days of perfection left before everything changed as I drifted off to sleep.

  Chapter 15

  When I woke up, Chase was still holding my hand. We were laying on our sides, and his hand was locked into my hand and my ring was on top. It looked so pretty in the sunlight!

  I was lazily smiling and staring at my ring when Chase said, “Good morning beautiful.”

  I replied, “Thank you for my ring and for being such a great boyfriend. I love you.”

  He kissed my forehead and ensured me, “Love you too.”

  I felt his excitement, he had morning wood. I hopped up and brushed my teeth and relieved my bladder and he quickly brushed his teeth too. We jumped back under the covers and fooled around.

  I didn’t want to go home, this just felt so right. By the time we were done fooling around, all the blankets and pillows were on the floor and we had used another condom. I was sexually pleased but we had to start packing our stuff up for the trip back home. If I wasn’t having a sleepover party tonight, I would have found some way to stay and keep our little piece of heaven alive for another day.

  We got our stuff all separated and packed and I took Chase into the living room and straddled his lap. He realized I didn’t put on panties under my red sundress. He liked my plan, one last quickie! I took the condom out of my bra and slipped it on and then guided him in me, where he belonged.

  We had sex sitting up, Chase was seated on the couch and I was on top of him. He filled me deeply from this new position, and it felt so good. I released my pent-up orgasm first, then Chase followed with his. I know my heavy breathing and moaning likely sent him over the top. After we both climaxed, I laid against his chest to catch my breath. I told him how perfect the whole trip was and how much I loved him and how excited I was to make a promise to wait for him.

  I knew we were in a good spot in our relationship and I knew we both loved each other completely. I may not know what will happen once college started but I did know, for now, my life was better than any fairy tale. We kissed.

  Chase got up to throw the condom away and then he explained, “Guess I better load our stuff up.”

  I sadly agreed, “Yeah.” Then he loaded the trunk and we checked out and headed home to Princeton Falls. We talked the whole way home. I got a few texts from Mom, Jacki, and Mikayla. I decided not to tell them about my RING until I got home.

  Mom texted: “See you when you get home.”

  Jacki texted: “I will be over at dinner tonight, okay?”

  I wrote back: “Sounds perfect, can’t wait for BFF time!”

  Mikayla texted: “See you around four, okay?”

  I wrote back: “Yep, perfect.”

  Now everyone was all lined out. I couldn’t wait to hear what all I had missed in the past three days. I’m sure no-one would have guessed how my three days went, especially about getting a promise ring! Mikayla waited two years for her ring! I had known Chase over two years but we haven’t been dating very long at all. There was just something electric between us, it was a special soul to soul kind of love. I was excited to tell them my news, I just hoped they would all be happy for me. After all, it had all happened so fast.

  Chase pulled into my driveway and parked. He kissed me and thanked me for making the weekend so perfect. Then we got out and he carried my stuff inside after I opened the front door for him. Mom was home but Dad was still at work. Mom smiled as she watched Chase carry in all of my things. Mom hugged me and Chase walked back to my room to drop off my stuff. Mom immediately noticed my ring!

  She grabbed my hand and squealed, “Oh my gosh! What does this mean?”

  I smiled and half blushed and answered, “Mom, Chase made a promise to me, he wants me to wait and marry him someday.”

  Mom was actually excited, she hugged Chase, she hugged me, and she said, “Wow that was fast!”

  Chase smiled and replied, “I love Roxi, she is the one for me, and I will do anything for her. I want to marry her one day.”

  Mom asked, “Is that why you came by Thursday night to talk to Roxi’s Dad?”

  Chase smiled and confirmed, “Yes mam, wanted to see if I had Roxi’s Dad’s approval. Let me tell you, he did not make it easy on me. He did understand me when I told him how special Roxi was and he did agree that I could give her a promise ring, not an engagement ring yet but he said in good time we could talk about it again.”

  I sat there, thinking to myself how much Chase loved me…

  Mom hugged him and said, “Treat her right and you can call me Mom if you want to.”

  I knew I had her blessing, and apparently, Chase had Dad’s blessing too! My friends were not going to believe this!!!!!

  I thanked Chase and kissed him goodbye so he could take his things home and get unpacked. I knew he needed to rest up for his morning shift tomorrow at the pool. Thinking about Chase resting, just makes me want to jump on him again. I couldn’t be distracted with his good looks and charms right at this moment, as my BFFs would arrive any minute.

  Just as I finished unpacking my things, I heard Mikayla coming down the hallway and into my room. We hugged and sat down side by side on my bed and talked like we hadn’t seen each other in years and it had only been days… I told her my exciting news and showed her my promise ring.

  As we were ooddling over it, Jacki came into my room and spotted it! I explained the whole story again and my two besties in the world were both excited and happy for me. They thought it was sudden, but both admitted seeing how electric Chase and I were together. There’s no denying the chemistry between us, even other people could see it!!!

  I asked, “What’s new with each of you ladies?”

  I heard the juicy details about the weekend they had….

  Jacki
and Chris hit third base again! She gave up very little details, but I was proud of her for even talking about it since she was always deadly shy about anything related to sex and guys.

  Mikayla and Conner started making wedding plans! She just had a promise ring, but they went engagement ring shopping last weekend!!! Mikayla asked me to be her maid of honor and Jacki to be her photographer at their wedding. We both squealed with delight!

  Jacki would do an awesome job, she was extremely talented with photography.

  Mikayla thought Conner would propose before we move away to college!

  We talked until Mom yelled that dinner was ready and then we talked even more at the table with Mom and Dad.

  Dad noticed my ring and asked, “You love Chase?”

  I agreed, “Yes Dad, he is going to marry me one day.”

  Dad encouraged, “Don’t be in a hurry, make sure, okay?”

  I said, “I promise.”

  Then all of us girls and Mom giggled and Dad shook his head.

  After we helped Mom clean up dinner, all of us girls went downstairs to watch some chick flicks and chat more. I was emotionally satisfied, Chase loved me, I had a promise ring, my life should be featured in one of these chick flicks! I have a wonderful boyfriend and two of the best friends a girl could ask for.

  We watched two movies and decided to go back upstairs to my room and have a snack and go to bed. I grabbed my journal and wrote in it about how Chase gave me the ring and our weekend adventure and ended it with “52 days and counting…”

  Chapter 16

  I woke up and saw that both Mikayla and Jacki were still asleep. I got up, brushed my teeth and hair and went into the kitchen. I decided to treat my besties to breakfast in bed, just like Chase did for me on our weekend at Lazy Days… My mind drifted but I pulled my focus back to the task at hand and I quickly cooked.

  I grabbed a loaf of bread, a pack of eggs, some butter, and a big skillet. My Mom called this creation: eggs in a basket. I cut the holes in the bread by using a biscuit cutter to make the spot for the eggs while the pan got hot. I had all my holes cut and I dropped some butter in the pan and added the bread holes, did a quick crack of the egg and put the egg inside the biscuit shaped hole in the bread. I flipped my creations when the egg whites were cooked to let them finish cooking on the other side. I put the eggs in a basket on our plates and headed back to my room.

  I sat a plate by Jacki’s head and by Mikayla’s head. They woke- up smiling. They had spent so many nights at my house that they knew what eggs in a basket were…

  They thanked me and quickly brushed their teeth and then we all ate together.

  Jacki said, “I have a photoshoot set for this afternoon and am meeting Chris after his shift at the Pizza Shack.”

  Mikayla said, “I have a hot date planned with Conner tonight.”

  All the talk about boyfriends made me realize I should check what was going on with Chase.

  I sent a quick text to Chase: “Miss waking up with you, lover boy.”

  He texted right back: “You are always welcome in my bed!”

  I texted back: “We are having BFF time this morning, want to meet up for dinner?”

  He replied: “YES, chat more later. Love u.”

  I wrote: “Love u 2.”

  I sat my phone down and I guess I had a cheesy grin on my face because Mikayla and Jacki stopped talking and asked me why I was smiling like that.

  I explained, “I love Chase and I love my life.”

  They told me that they had never seen me like this before and I knew it was true, I had never been in love. I never even tried to date anyone else. My heart was always on that super-hot lifeguard named Chase. Well, ladies, it was looking like the chasing part was over. Chase had caught my attention and my heart. I guess you could say he had been “Chasing Roxi” and he had successfully caught me and all of my love.

  After we finished eating, we took our dishes to the dishwasher and then pitter-pattered back down the hallway to my room to talk and get dressed and ready for the day. I had diligently worked miracles while flat ironing my hair. Jacki had changed into her studio shirt and jeans, and Mikayla put on make-up.

  Mom came into the room. “Good morning beauties. How did everyone sleep? Did you get enough to eat? What’s the plan for the day?”

  We answered in unison, “Good, yes, girl time!” We all giggled as Mom gave us her Mom look… She smiled and left the room. We finished getting ready for the day.

  My phone tinged and I knew I had a text. I was surprised, it wasn’t from Chase, it was actually from Conner… He said: “I need to talk to you, text me after Mikayla heads home please. ☺”

  I wrote back: “Will do. ☺” Jacki and Mikayla assumed it was Chase, and I don’t say anything else. I think I know what Conner needs to talk about! I was so excited on the inside!!!!! It was hard not to show it, so I decided it was time for a distraction.

  I asked Mikayla and Jacki to help me make a collage of pictures to hang in our new places. We made three, one for each of us. It took us a couple of hours, but we did a thoroughly awesome job and were all very happy with our creations. Nothing like a mini scrapbook type of craft project to go down my happy bubble memory lane!

  We got the collages done and the room cleaned back up just in time for Jacki to head to her photoshoot and Mikayla to head home to get ready for her date. They gathered their stuff back up, loaded their car and truck and we all hugged before they left. I was proud of my new collage and decided not to wait to hang it up. I mean, why not go ahead and enjoy it for the next few weeks before I moved out?

  After I hung the collage up, I sent Conner a text: “Coast is clear, we can talk now, call me.”

  A couple of minutes later, my phone rang, it was Conner. He said, “Can we meet and talk at the park please?”

  I agreed, “Okay, meet you in the picnic shelter in ten minutes.”

  As I parked and walked towards the picnic shelter, I saw Conner. He was pacing while he was waiting for me. This had to be big news! I practically ran the rest of the way. He had a big goofy grin when he saw my excitement.

  He proclaimed, “I think you know why I asked to talk to you.”

  I smiled, “I hope you are popping the question to Mikayla!”

  He smiled and said, “Yes, I love her, and I need your help.”

  I hugged him and said, “For her, I’ll do anything! How can I help?”

  He described his plan, and I agreed to keep Mikayla busy by taking her shopping for college stuff. He asked me if I could talk to Jacki and ask if she could be at the state park doing a “photoshoot” while he proposed. I told him it would be no problem at all! He said he was going to propose in two days, on their dating anniversary, but Mikayla thinks they are waiting until the weekend to celebrate so she will be surprised! Not many people get proposed to on Wednesday’s at a park!

  I talked to Jacki and we decided that she would call me saying she needed me to drop off a tripod stand for a photoshoot at the state park. The photoshoot we would drop off a tripod to Jacki was really for Mikayla’s engagement photos! She would be shocked.

  I texted Mikayla and asked: “Can you go shopping for college supplies with me on Wednesday?” And just like that, our plan was set in motion…

  She texted back: “I’d love to go, what time?”

  I wrote back: “Let’s meet up at 10 at my house on Wednesday. I will drive, okay?”

  She confirmed: “Perfect!”

  I hugged Conner and said goodbye and texted Jacki to call me after her photoshoot. She didn’t text back right away, so I know she was already working. I’ll either text or call her later.

  I texted Chase and he didn’t have to work. So, I asked: “Are you ready for our date yet?”

  He texted back: “I want to date you 4 ever.”

  I smiled and called him. He told me that he was at home, so I swung by there next. I knocked on the door and Chase answered with only boxers on.

  I giggled and said,
“You always answer the door looking so hot?”

  He smiled and replied, “Only when I know my hot redhead is on the other side.”

  I asked, “Are we were alone?”

  Chase growled, “Oh yes.” I pushed him against the wall and French kissed him like it might be our last kiss. We were both breathless when we pulled apart. I brushed up against his boxers and noticed just how much he liked my kiss.

  I motioned, “You really liked my kiss.”

  He blushed, “I more than liked it, I loved it and I love you.” I gave him a quick peck on the lips and slipped my hand in his boxers. I lead him to his bedroom, using his stiff handle as a guide. I kissed him all over and had my way with him. It was only 17 minutes, slow and passionate filled, but it was blissful and exactly what I needed at that very moment.

  I got up and found all my clothes and dressed myself. Then I meandered into Chase’s closet and picked out a shirt that matched my outfit and he grabbed some shorts. I hated to see him get dressed after how hot he looked topless in boxers, and for that matter, out of them, he looked even hotter… I confirmed, “We can’t stay naked all day, can we?”

  We were ready to go out for dinner and headed to the Main Street Café. I had lots of fond memories of one of our first real dates there. We talked for hours and then took a walk down Main Street. The electricity I felt between us then had only intensified since we got intimate with each other.

  We went inside and found a table. Since it was dinner time, they had candles lit at each table and it is very romantic inside the little café building. The waitress gave us menus and took our drink orders and scurried to the kitchen to fetch the drinks and returned to take our food order. We gave her our order and she was gone again.

  Chase put his hands across the table so we could hold hands and face each other. I felt the heat building inside me again. We talked about everything and stared into each other’s eyes. He was “it” for me. I felt it in my soul. I professed to him how much I loved him and then the waitress interrupted to drop off our food. While we were chatting and eating, I told him about Conner’s big plan and I could tell he was excited for them too.
