Chasing Roxi (Princeton Falls Book 1) Read online

  We ate dinner at the table with Mom and Dad, then we went back to my room and talked. We laid on the bed, looking at our yearbook and reminiscing about the last four years of our lives. I’m going to miss nights like these. There were only 57 more days in my perfect bubble….

  Jacki said, “I better head out.” She was ready to go home, so I walked her out to her truck. We hugged and she headed home. So happy we snuck in girl time, I needed that chat!

  I went back inside and headed directly to take a hot shower and fully relax. I put on some cute jammies and wrote in my journal:

  “I am in love. Jacki is in love. Mikayla has been in love for the past two years. What a perfect end to our high school years, and the perfect beginning to the rest of our tomorrows.”

  Goodnight.

  Chapter 10

  I woke up and saw I missed a text from Chase: “Missed you yesterday. I hope you can come to get your freckle on today. Kisses.”

  What a sweet start to my day! I wrote back: “Love u, see u poolside! <3”

  I texted Jacki and Mikayla to see if they could go to the pool and hang out. Jacki replied: “I will meet you there!”

  I wrote back: “Perfect! Mikayla is picking me up. See you there!”

  I ate breakfast and cleaned my room. I had started packing my stuff for college, so my room was kind of messy. I moved the packing boxes to the corner and started putting winter clothes in boxes. I had two big stacks of boxes ready to go by the time Mikayla got to my house.

  We decided to start on reupholstering the couch we bought from the resale shop. We had all but the cushions recovered and Mikayla said, “My Grandma would be happy to sew the new material on the cushions for us! She is great at making slipcovers!” It looks really nice, and I’m excited to see our cool new dorm room, just not ready to burst this perfect bubble we have right now.

  We skipped inside like we had done thousands of times in the past five years. It was time to get changed into our swimsuits. I had a cute lime green bikini and Mikayla had a hot pink bikini. I giggled when I realized we picked out the same color swimsuits as bedding for our future dorm room!

  Mikayla stated, “Conner is at work until 3.”

  I said, “Chase works until 2.”

  We loaded into her car and drove past the Pizza Shack and saw Chris’s car in the parking lot. We had more girl time, woohoo! We got to the pool and put our stuff in the locker room and headed out to the pool. Chase saw us walk by and he winked and blew me a kiss. I melted, and Mikayla giggled. We saw that Jacki had saved us a spot to lay out and headed towards her. I sat my towel down and told the girls, “I want to take a quick dip in the pool before I lay out and freckle myself.”

  I swam from our side of the pool to Chase’s lifeguard stand. I heckled, “Hey lifeguard, I could use some mouth to mouth!”

  Chase shook his head and signaled to the other lifeguard that he was taking a quick break. He jumped from the stand into the pool and picked me up and kissed me. I whispered to Chase, “Okay, I got a kiss, now I can go sit with the girls and talk about you. After you get off work, I’m gonna get you off.”

  He blushed and said, “I love you!” Then he headed back to his lifeguard stand and I swam back to my BFFs.

  Jacki was listening to Mikayla describe our new couch and bedding when I got back to my lounge chair. I chimed in on all the goodies we picked out and told her we wished our college offered a photography degree so she could come with us. We all group hugged, I’m gonna miss our BFF time.

  Next Jacki started telling us about the photography college and she was super excited. I loved seeing her so excited about what she loved doing.

  We all got in the pool and played a game of water volleyball and Marko-polo. It was a perfect afternoon. We climbed out and put more sunblock on and laid out in our lounge chairs soaking up some vitamin D. When Chase got off work, he came over to join us. He climbed behind me on the lounge chair and I leaned back on him as he kissed my neck right where my shoulder and neck meet. It almost went un-noticed except for the deep exhale noise I made as his lips and teeth provided just enough pressure to make my toes curl in complete agreement of his perfect touch. The girls were all smiling when I opened my eyes. I didn’t even know I had closed them, but there I was the center of attention for a split second. I squeezed Chase's hand and we decided to leave because we all had enough sunshine time for the day.

  We drove over to the Pizza Shack and met Conner there as Chris got off his shift. We were going to have a triple date! We quickly ate our pepperoni pizza and mountain dews for dinner.

  We decided to go rent some movies and headed back to my house. We followed each other downstairs to my Dad’s man cave and put a movie on. We all grabbed blankies and pillows and piled on the floor, leaning against our guys. We watched a love story and a comedy, we made popcorn and ate it while the second movie played.

  After the movies were over, Jacki and Chris and Mikayla and Conner headed home. Mom and Dad had already gone to bed. I walked Chase out to his car. We got a little carried away making out. Before I knew it, he had me against the chimney and he slipped his hand up my thigh and pulled my panties down.

  I said, “Good thing I had a skirt on!” He smiled and those dimples made me melt. He quickly got a condom from his car and slipped it on. He came back to me and we had a quickie under the stars up, standing up, my legs wrapped around his waist, up against the chimney. I couldn’t believe how perfectly content and amped up my whole body felt when he was in me. This was perfection. We both climaxed at the same time and leaned against each other. I can’t believe we just did this, here, of all places!

  Chase kissed me and said, ”Time for me to head home. I love you, Roxi.”

  I said, “Chase you were worth the wait. I love you too.”

  I didn’t even have the strength to write in my journal that night, I just took a bubble bath and went straight to bed, fully emotionally and physically satisfied.

  Chapter 11

  It was a Wednesday, and I thought it would be cute to give Chase a present. I drove over to the florist and picked out 12 tulips. Then I stopped by the drugstore and bought a pack of condoms. I also picked up a blank card and wrote, “Happy Hump Day! Here's to all the fun things you do to my two lips! Love, Roxi”

  Then I picked out the perfect blue ribbon and made a bow to hold them together. I stuck one condom in every tulip. I was proud of my creation. I called Chase and asked him, “Hey sexy, what are you doing?”

  Chase said, “I wish I was doing you. I am not doing anything. What should we do today?”

  I told him, “I want to meet up because I have a surprise for you.” I could tell he was happy to hear both that I want to see him and that I had a surprise.

  We met at the park and I hid the surprise behind my back. Chase came over to me and said, “Hey babe, I missed you! Thank you for the sweet dreams last night!”

  I smiled and leaned in to kiss him. He questioned, “What is this surprise you have for me?”

  I handed him my creation and he laughed and smiled his cute dimpled smile. He hugged me and said, “I LOVE HUMP DAY, what a perfect gift! I can’t wait to hump your Southern two lips again!”

  He said, “I made reservations for us this weekend. We are going to the Lazy Days Condos, just South of Princeton Falls”. He winked at me and said, “We need some alone time to discover more about each other's bodies and pleasure.”

  I was so excited I jumped on him! I wrapped my legs around his waist and kissed him! He grinned and said, “I think we could do something extra special in this very position!”

  We took the tulips and condoms to his car. Then we held hands and walked through the park. I couldn’t believe everything that had changed in my life in those 30 days. I was truly blessed.

  We talked about the last couple of days and the plans for the weekend getaway, and I thought to myself since we were having more lots of sex, it was time I went to my gynecologist and got birth control. So, after we left the
park, I called to get an appointment.

  We walked past the park bench where I remembered the first time we came here together and ended up kissing on the bench. Chase squeezed my hand and we sat down on the bench, smiling at each other. Chase said, “Roxi, I am completely in love with you.”

  Before I could say anything, Chase reached over and scooted me on his lap and kissed me deeply, passionately; the kind of kiss that made my toes curl in anticipation. His lips felt so damn good… I was humming, you know that little noise you make when something feels so good. “Hmmmmmm, Chase you sure know how to make a girl feel loved and wanted. I love you, Chase Daniel Walker!”

  If Chase kissed me any deeper, I think my mouth would have had an orgasm, it was that good. I shook my head and thought to myself, this was all so fast and so right…

  We stood up together and walked, hands holding one another, down the path and back towards Chase’s car. When we got to his car, he pinned me against the side of the car and kissed me again. I didn’t know what he was trying to prove, but he was making my knees so weak I could hardly stand on my own two feet. Chase sensed what he was doing to me, and he smiled with those handsome dimples, “Don’t worry babe, I’ll catch you if you fall.” All I could do was smile while he melted my heart to pieces.

  I realized I was going to marry Chase at that very moment…

  Then I thought to myself, “Who finds the love of their life at 18?” Okay, so Mikayla beat me to that, but I was overjoyed that this summer had been everything I could have dreamed of and so much more!

  I told Chase I couldn’t wait for our getaway weekend, and I got in my car. Chase followed me home, and I left my car at home and wrote Mom a note, “Out with Chase, be home late. Love, Roxi”

  Then I went back outside and got in Chase’s car. I remembered to call my gynecologist and I got an appointment on Friday morning, perfect! I nudged Chase and told him when my appointment was, he smiled.

  I hung up the phone, and Chase asked, “You made an appointment to get birth control?”

  I said, “Yes, I plan on having a lot more sex with you and I don’t want any accidents!” I made Chase blush, I couldn’t believe it! Little Red Roxi had finally met her match! Chase squeezed my hand and I knew he felt the same towards me as I did to him.

  We pulled into the Pizza Shack and got out of the car. We walked inside and found a booth to sit down and order, and Chris came over to our table. I smiled, and Chris asked us, “What would you all like to drink and eat?” We ordered sweet teas and a pepperoni pizza.

  Chris headed back to place our order in the kitchen and grabbed our drinks and came back to our booth. We said, “Thanks, Chris.”

  Then Chris said, “Jacki and I are meeting up after my shift tonight, do you want to go to the movies with us?”

  Chase looked at me and I shook my head “Yes.” So, Chase and Chris worked out the details and I texted Jacki to let her know. She was excited that we would double date and I was too.

  We got our pizza and ate the whole thing, famished from our make-out session and proclamation of true love. Then we told Chris we would see him at the movie ticket counter. He smiled and waved and we left the money for the pizza on the table with our receipt.

  We exited the Pizza Shack and headed towards the movie theater. We got there about thirty minutes early, so we sat in Chase’s car and talked. The talk lead to making out and making out led to sex in the back seat of Chase’s car.

  There was something about Chase that made my blood flow to all the right places. I couldn’t believe no-one caught us, it was so thrilling to do something so private in such a public place.

  We might need to make a habit of trying new places because that was so HOT!

  We shimmied our clothes back in place and climbed back to the front seats and noticed the windows were all fogged up. I drew a heart on the window and Chase smiled. I knew he was having as much fun as I was having! We opened our doors and got out of the car and headed to the ticket counter, pretending we hadn’t just fogged up his car with hot almost public sex.

  As we were walking into the theater, I got a text that Jacki and Chris just parked and are coming inside.

  I told Chase, “We sure timed that right! Jacki and Chris were on their way inside!”

  He smiled and agreed, “Yeah, that was perfect… timing.”

  I watched Jacki and Chris walk inside and right over to Chase and me. The guys talked and decided what movie and bought our tickets while Jacki and I caught up on our girl talk.

  I had begun to understand why God didn’t give me a sister at home because he already made the perfect sister for me when he made Jacki. I hugged Jacki as we walked to the movie theater #4 and found our seats. We sat in order: Chase, Roxi, Jacki, and Chris. Now I could hold hands with my boyfriend and with my sister/sista/BFF, perfect!

  We watched the movie and walked back to our cars. I looked up and noticed all the beautiful stars and asked Chase, “Could we all go to your family campground to look at the stars?” He said, “Yes of course,” and we drove out to the farm. It was such a pretty night, with a half-moon and a million stars sparkling.

  We went to the farm, down at the campground. Jacki told Chase, “This is so beautiful! Thanks for letting us come with you tonight.”

  Chase smiled and said, “No problem, Roxi loves you so we need to get to know each other more because I love Roxi.”

  Everyone looked over at me and I blushed and said, “I love you too Chase!”

  This was our first public love proclaiming. Tonight, was a night of a couple firsts… I thought to myself:

  Could I fall any deeper or was this as good as it gets?

  How lucky can one girl be?

  This had to be a jackpot…

  I was so lucky that he was all in. He was chasing Roxi toward the future.

  Chase laid out a huge blanket and we all laid down, gazing up at the stars. I felt so blessed because my life was perfect. We laid together watching the stars until we witnessed a shooting star, and everyone hushed and made a silent wish.

  I wished Chase and my love would last the tests of time and wondered what everyone else wished. Then as I opened my eyes, I was met with a kiss from Chase. I was excited to taste his kiss again.

  We cuddled next to each other and gazed up for a little longer. Then Chris said, “We need to head out because it is after midnight and Jacki has an early morning photoshoot. Thanks so much for going on the double date and extra special star view tonight.”

  We hugged and they walked back to their car and we laid back down on the blanket, all cuddled together.

  I thought to myself, I hoped the feelings would be a forever thing. Chase said the exact confirmation I needed, “I love you, Roxi.”

  And all my insecurities melted away as we kissed. “I love you more Chase.”

  We started to fool around and he slipped his right hand up my shirt and rubbed my breasts and then he used his left hand to go down my shorts. He expertly fingered me until I couldn’t take it anymore and he whispered, “Let go.” And I did.

  My whole body was relaxed and attentive to his every move. I grabbed Chase’s hand, “Thank you for the perfect day.”

  Chase said, “I can’t wait until this weekend because I have been doing my homework. I can’t wait to find out what else I can do to your body!”

  We headed back to Chase’s car and he drove me home. It was a little after one o’clock when I got home. Mom left the porch light on, meaning she already went to bed and to try to be quiet. I kissed Chase goodnight and went inside.

  I grabbed my jammies and headed to the bathroom for a quick shower. When I stepped out of the bathroom, I went straight to my journal out and wrote about my day, “54 days left in heaven on earth!”

  Chapter 12

  It was Thursday and Chase worked a full shift at the pool.

  I texted Mikayla and asked her: “What are you doing today?”

  I knew Jacki would be busy until at least noon today. I di
dn’t text her yet because I don’t want to interrupt her photoshoot.

  Mikayla didn’t have plans, so she decided to come over. I went to the kitchen and got some cereal and milk and sat down at the breakfast bar. Mom was packing Dad’s lunch and I ate my breakfast while I waited for Mikayla to show up.

  Mom asked me, “What do you have going on for the day?”

  I answered, “Mikayla is on her way over to visit.” Mikayla got to our house and knocked quickly before she walked into the kitchen and sat next to me.

  Mom smiled and said, “Have a good time, girls, I am off to work and so is your Dad.”

  Mikayla and I had the house to ourselves. I turned up the radio and we danced around like we were at a club. Then we laughed and fell across the bed, facing each other. I hoped our dorm would be this much fun!

  I had most of my stuff packed in boxes, ready to move to our dorm. I asked Mikayla, “Do you have your stuff all boxed up?”

  Mikayla shook her head and said, “Yep, my room is almost packed too.” We chatted about everything that had been happening in the last month. I told her that Chase and I were in love.

  She said, “I knew it before you did!” I believed her. I’m happy she approved of Chase as much as I did!

  My phone chimed and I knew I had a text. I grabbed it and see Chase texted me: “I work all day at the pool, do you wanna meet up late tonight? Or can I take you to your gynecologist appointment tomorrow?”

  I blushed and write back: “I would love for you to go with me Friday morning, but you aren’t getting a set of stirrups to use this weekend to get to know my body better!”

  Chase wrote back: “I want to know about every inch of you, stirrups or no stirrups.”

  I giggled and said: “Okay, please pick me up at 9 am on Friday. I will be packed and ready for our weekend exploration.” He sent me a smiley face.
